EBSCOhost Research Database - Alternative Medicine Research Package

ANTA is pleased to announce that ANTA members and student members now have access to the world's most Comprehensive full-text Alternative Medicine Research Database free of charge 24 hours a day 7 days a week as part of their membership.

Database Information contained in the Alternative Medicine Research Package

MEDLINE Complete

An unprecedented full-text collection of the most sought-after medical journals.

This exceptional database provides full text for the most prominent journals used in the field of medical research. MEDLINE Complete is the largest full-text companion to the MEDLINE index, containing full text for more than 1,940 journals. This collection also provides full text for many of the most used journals included in the index—with no embargo.

Unique Content

Of the 1,940+ full-text journals available in MEDLINE Complete, more than 1,920 have cover-to-cover indexing in MEDLINE, and of those, nearly 1,000 titles are not found with full text in any version of Academic Search™, Health Source® or Biomedical Reference Collection™.

CINAHL® Plus with Full Text

CINAHL® Plus with Full Text is the world's most comprehensive nursing & allied health research database, providing full text for more than 770 journals indexed in CINAHL. Of those, 462 are not found with full text in any version of Academic Search™, Health Source® or Nursing & Allied Health Collection™. This authoritative file contains full text for many of the most used journals in the CINAHL index - with no embargo.

The database also provides full text for more than 275 books/monographs. With full text coverage dating back to 1937, CINAHL Plus with Full Text is the definitive research tool for all areas of nursing and allied health literature.

CINAHL Plus with Full Text also provides indexing for more than 4,500 journals from the fields of nursing and allied health. The database contains more than 2.7 million records dating back to 1981. Offering complete coverage of English-language nursing journals and publications from the National League for Nursing and the American Nurses' Association, CINAHL covers nursing, biomedicine, health sciences librarianship, alternative/complementary medicine, consumer health and 17 allied health disciplines. In addition, this database offers access to health care books, nursing dissertations, selected conference proceedings, standards of practice, educational software, audiovisuals and book chapters. Searchable cited references for more than 1,340 journals are also included.

AMED

AMED provides an alternative medicine database for physicians, therapists, medical researchers and clinicians looking to learn more about alternative treatments - including complementary medicine, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, rehabilitation, podiatry, palliative care, and more. AMED contains basic bibliographic records (abstracts are also included for many records dated 1995 onward) for relevant articles from over 500 journals, with the scope of coverage being mainly European.
Many of the journals included in AMED are not indexed by other biomedical sources. AMED is produced by the Health Care Information Service of the British Library.
