ANTA members are regarded as the benchmark in Natural and Traditional Therapies and as a result ANTA members are recognised nationally by over 50 Health Funds/WorkCover Authorities.

ANTA fully satisfies the Legislation and Rules and is recognised by all Health Funds.

Coinciding with the introduction of the rules on the 1st July 2009 many health funds are updating recognition criteria and qualification requirements for recognition of providers.

To be registered as a provider with health funds from the 1st July 2009 onwards practitioners must be a financial member of ANTA or a professional association, they must have a current Professional Indemnity (PI) Insurance policy of at least $1m. and have a current Senior First Aid qualification at all times.

Note - To be registered as a provider with Health Funds in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine practitioners must have PI Insurance of at least $5 million.

The new rules are law and must be adhered to by all health funds and apply to professional associations that satisfy the new rules.
