ANTA National Bursary Award Guidelines

To be eligible you must be a Student Member of ANTA and a student currently enrolled in a course recognised by ANTA on a full time or part time basis in undergraduate or postgraduate studies.

Students are encouraged to submit an entry for an ANTA Bursary Award before the 31st July.

ANTA National Bursary Awards are open to students who are enrolled in a course recognised by ANTA (click here to see courses recognised by ANTA) and are not completing more than 50% of course units by Distance/Online learning modes.

Student Members of ANTA that are a Full Members of another association will not be considered for an ANTA Bursary Award.

ANTA Members who are undertaking further studies and are enrolled in a course recognised by ANTA are also encouraged to apply for an ANTA Bursary.

Students can be enrolled in a recognised undergraduate or postgraduate course on either a full time or part time basis.

To apply for an ANTA Bursary:

  • submit a written assignment completed as part of their current studies
  • submit a written assignment on a topic of the students choice relevant to natural therapies
  • bursary submissions are limited to one assignment per student
  • bursary submissions must have students name and ANTA student membership number on the submission

Written assignments should be between 1000 and 3000 words, if assignments are referenced, a recognised referencing protocol is to be used.

Assignments must be lodged via the Members Centre - Bursary Entry Form (To enter the members centre student members must firstly register for a password).

The closing date for lodging submissions is the 31st July (each year) and ANTA Bursary Awards are announced in October (each year).

Recipients of 12 x $1000 ANTA Bursary Awards will be determined by ANTA and will be based on quality, scope and content. Recipients of ANTA Bursaries will also receive an official ANTA certificate recognising the award.

Bursaries will be presented to recipients in October / November.

ANTA reserves the right to where possible, publish student bursary submissions on the ANTA website and in the ANTA journal The Natural Therapist.
